The day the original page was completed, October 11, 2018, Leilani and Riffraff had to make the unfortunate and painful decision to allow one of their black cats, 14-year-old girl Mystery, to enter eternity. It really must be heart-breaking for Leilani to learn one of her childhood companions still holds a grudge. Well, that’s unfortunately not the end of things between them.

Maybe Malana doesn’t understand where her loyalties lie. She’s too caught up in two precarious situations; her feelings for Jamie, and her determination to get the best of Leilani no matter what. Good to see Neros, the blue wolf, trying to be the gallant one for Kalea, even if he is on the wrong side.

It’s reasonable to assume that Malana isn’t going to back down from anything, be it a heated argument or a fight to the death. We know so little of her childhood and upbringing but a few things will be made clear soon enough.

And might we add, stunning underwater work from our art team!

Undersea battles are so much fun…well, not to draw, that’s for sure! KJ is still grumbling.

Too bad. With all the nudity around, it could have been quite a romantic scene! *^^*

Extended fights in comics should rarely last more than 4-5 pages tops, so we had to literally choreograph what was going to happen from start to finish, and we advise any comic creator out there to consider likewise. Make some notes, some very rough pose sketches, and if you have multiple combatants like this one, have everyone doing something.

We don’t mind saying, this is the most brilliant page of the lot so far, and appreciation to one of the most underappreciated artists in the world, Kino Jaggernov. <3

Malana has had enough. Jamie would have easily bested the other girls and perhaps drowned Kalea eventually. Whether she’s trying to save her beloved sister and best friend, or she is filled with total hatred at Jamie’s betrayal, it’s hard to tell.

All we know now is that it’s the end for Jamie.

But he’s not going down into the depths alone…
