Alright, after some painstaking programming wizardry, and a few hundred dollars or so, “The Depths” website is solid. (except for a tiny “subscription” bug we’re working on)

We’re still playing catch-up with the pages, but that is coming soon, so bear with us. New pages are scheduled for June, July, and August as we put the story arc, “The Children of the Sea” to rest once and for all. We’re extremely happy with ourselves over the new writing and story-lines! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

And what’s next? That, we’re afraid, we live in the hands of people like you who are reading this today, whether it’s your first time visiting us, or you’ve been a die-hard fan for years. We’re thinking of doing short-subject comics for a while, a few spin-offs, like Kalea with her newfound water-powers and the mantas in an undersea adventure, or perhaps you really love the idea of Leilani as the wife of thierry, the French detective, in Paris.

Or MAYBE, you want to know everything that happened in New York City…

That was our current goal, to try to secure funds for “The Depths: New York City”, a wild, dangerous world of organized crime, corruption and drama, where the Roaring 1920’s is ruled by the speakeasy and the tommy gun. In this particular world, the three otters would find their fortunes, their happiness, and sadly their ultimate fates. Leilani, married to David, now accompanies him on adventures as the reporter chases the stories. Malana, completely dazzled by the city lights, wanders away from her “lady-classes” and to the seedy underbelly of organized crime and exotic dancers. And beautiful, sweet Kalea falls in love with a sexy tigress, a practicing witch, who opens the curious, naive otter to the exciting and foreboding world of the occult.

Notice we said early, “try to secure funds”. ????

That’s sort of the boat we’re in. Obviously, neither of us, myself or Paul, really draw respectably enough to warrant a great, popular comic. I can watercolor fat kitties with cute round faces time to time, and Paul is pretty magical with image manipulation. But between us, we’re just not artists in the visual sense.

And so, we need help.

Because we have an exciting NEW ARTIST waiting in the wings and he’s promising a brand new “The Depths” design in the next story arc! So of course, he needs to be paid for his extraordinary work.
