Lots of attention to detail on this page, I gotta say! David’s got to have some really strong self-control to have managed this long without inhaling any water. Perhaps his motivation was/is that if Lani is able to get to him, he knows that she can’t share any breath if his lungs are already filled with water. But since his lungs are water-free, and Lani has reached him, she can share her breath with him so that he could hold *her* (snicker) breath longer.
There’s that knife that’s loose. Seems like all it would take is for one of them to cut that air hose.

Oh he is do going to wish he never did this. I kind of want him to live so he can be told off by everyone what a fool he was. However, I don’t think that’ll happen and I’m okay with it.
