It’s not just that you might attract predators, but any cuts, even a slight scratch, can lead to really bad infections. Get out, shower off under that lagoon waterfall, and you’re land-locked for at least a few days until healing begins. If pus forms, wrap the wound securely with some palm leaves. Leave nothing to chance. If you get a blood infection, it’s game over.
