Hate can do that to a person.

But what is hate exactly? What causes it? Would you believe it’s mostly fear? In very many ways, whether we hate a particular food or a politician, it’s not necessarily that we just don’t like it, but we fear what could happen if we were subject to them. From a psychological standpoint, hate would tend to mean something along the lines of “obliteration” and “annihilation”. Meaning, if that food or politician or whatever didn’t exist anymore, you wouldn’t care in the slightest. There would be no loss, no regrets, absolutely no feeling about it at all.

That is hate in its simplest of terms. And sadly, right now, there is way too much of it. When did the world get like this? And is there any way we can get it back to some semblance of peace and prosperity?

Well, surprisingly, there is. We don’t necessarily have to end hate so much as end fear. Those hating a particular food could look up really cool recipes including them and see what could be done and what new horizons your tastes could sample. Those hating a particular politician could maybe look away from them and focus on other people in life, the ones you care about the most, who aren’t going to let other people hurt you.

And above all, focus on the love around you, because you will never fear that. Don’t follow the crowd of hatred and stick to what matters, your life, your love, your gifts, your talents. 

That’s how we end hate. If everyone just accepts the love that’s around them.
