Yes, April 1st, 2018.

That’s when it all came together for us, and we launched a Patreon to raise funds for some amazing artists to ink and paint some of the most incredible art for webcomics you’ve ever seen. A year has passed and we find ourselves in a bit of a bind to continue weekly updates for everyone. That’s why we’re asking some of you awesome readers and supporters out there to consider a pledge tomorrow, April 1st, of just $5.00 per month to help us cover art costs and hopefully get us back to a weekly schedule.

You may ask, “What do I get for joining this club?”

Well, check it out for yourself! We’re offering quite a lot!

*  Early peeks of every new webcomic page (we try to get these posted on Patreon about a week in advance)

*  High-resolution copies of each page (for those with poor eyesight or really want to see the ultra-fine details)

*  Work-in-progress for pages (we try to post these on Sundays every week, a day before the new page arrives)

*  Videos of work being done on each page (these are really awesome to see, from sketches to complete!)

*  Scripts of each page

*  An e-book, written by Leilani, called “Wet Fur”, an anthology of anthropomorphic adventures that deal with water in very sexy ways

*  Early peeks of a BRAND NEW one panel comic strip coming out  called “Over the Side”, thought-provoking and funny “The Far Side”-type  strips again featuring “The Depths” characters. Artist is Kitt_Kitten

We’re currently short $98 to do a full month of updates at one page a week.  so we really only need about 20 new supporters this month, and we’ll make it! We’re counting on our readers, our fans, to lend a hand.

Sea Monster Meme *^^*

Well, yes, we had to do something to curb the absolute horror we all felt seeing the monster KJ had designed. *^^*

“baka” is Japanese for a “dumb person”, and this is an ongoing situation where, in anime, a young boy’s love interest just can’t stand him, so she verbally or physically abuses him until he gets the picture.

Now I’m suddenly imagining an anime or manga where a devilishly handsome boy really is crazy about a girl, but the girl turns into a sea monster and wreaks havoc all the time if she starts to get aroused, so she does everything in her power to keep the boy at bay.

Silly brain.

Wait, don’t tell me… that manga has been done before, hasn’t it? *^^*

Hats off again to my special guest artist DarkShadow777 for taking my idea, running with it, and making it pure hilarity. <3

Also my thanks to Patreon supporter ElectricFox, who won the auction for his handsome wolf-fox Sly to appear in a rather treacherous situation. *^^*

Rather fitting title, yes? Leilani’s all hot and bothered and eager to mate. Sly is more than ready to give her what she wants…

Every writer knows it’s never easy to kill off a character. You’ve spent months, sometimes years with it, wrapping it around your finger, making it perform for you, and speak, and think, and act. And then suddenly, it’s gone, and a little part of you dies with it. =(

One of the most hilarious, and sad, moments of writing for me, was when I wrote off a minor, but still beloved character from a novel I was working on. I was so distraught, I picked up the phone and called my best friend.

“I killed Ferrell!” I sobbed into the phone and then had to immediately calm down my friend and assure her I had not actually killed anyone in the real world. 

Jamie McCollough, while well-liked in his own way, needed to go. He was merely a secondary character in this particular story arc, but as you might imagine, an important role all the same. We needed a bad guy. *^^*

But not to worry. In the next page, you’ll find out just how he’s going to be sent off – whether to Hell or purgatory.

And let’s hope you don’t have nightmares…
