Castaway Advice: Is it really a good idea to have openings in the hut where insects and other creepies can get through? Actually, yeah, it’s very important. If your hut faces the open sea, especially, because you want that ocean breeze coming off the water and coming inside. It’s going to not only help cool you off, but surprisingly the breeze also helps nourish you, because it carries moisture, which your body will certainly need. So, by all means, knock some holes into that thing!
